'Hunger Games' Parody Trailer Goes Viral (Video)

The Hunger Games has sold nearly 4 million DVDs and Blu-ray discs since hitting stories last week, but not everyone thinks the film lives up to the hype.
A video from Honest Trailers, which purports to advertise films as they really are, takes issue with Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) ability to outwit other tributes by hanging out in trees and Peeta’s (Josh Hutcherson) ridiculously detailed cake decorating skills, and asks why the "much hotter" Gale (Liam Hemsworth) is not Katniss’ first choice.
Amassing more than a quarter of a million plays, the parody trailer mercilessly raises a slew of additional questions moviegoers may have been asking themselves, including plot points from Suzanne Collins' novel that didn't make it to the big screen. (Where's the avox?)

CSU Student Breaks Ankle at Vedauwoo, Video Goes Viral [VIDEO]

When CSU Senior Lexi DeForest fell down a trench while hiking at Vedauwoo Recreation Area near Laramie, her ankle snapped, and her foot was nearly detached from her leg. While her hiking companion ran for help, Lexi waited patiently for help to arrive.
During her wait, she stayed calm by making a video diary which she posted on YouTube four days later. Her mangled ankle, calm demeanor and pretty smile quickly caught on, and the video went viral. Since posting the video to the internet on August 15th, the video has been watched over 360,000 times.
In the video Lexi stays calm and collected. She gives shout outs to her friends and family, talks about her college life, and even talks about how much she loves her dog. Lexi says she is afraid, but still stays calm on tape while waiting for medical attention.
WARNING: Before viewing be advised that the video below does show the disturbing image of the badly broken ankle, and also includes some adult language. Those who are squeamish may want to think twice before watching.

New Planes To Travel from London to New York in An Hour.

WaveRider Hypersonic Jet targets Mach 6!

At this speed [more than 4,300mph (6,900km/h)], it could travel from London to New York in about an hour. The project is funded by the Pentagon and Nasa, and is part of plans to develop faster missiles. During a test in June 2011, WaveRider travelled at Mach 5, but failed to reach the target speed.

It is one of several projects currently under way to create a Hypersonic aircraft. The research could also be used to build a commercial plane, able to reach much higher speeds than today's jets, after Concorde was decommissioned in 2003.

X-51A WaveRiderFive-minute flight

A B-52 bomber will lift the wingless unmanned jet from US Edwards Air Force Base in California to 50,000 feet (15,250m). The craft will then be dropped, and after a free fall of about four seconds, its engine is supposed to ignite.

X-51A WaveRider should then climb to 70,000ft (21,300m) and eventually reach Mach 6.
The Mach number is the ratio of the speed of an object to the speed of sound. Mach 1 is the speed of sound - approximately 768mph, depending on various factors including temperature and altitude. So Mach 6 is six times the speed of sound. Concorde's cruising speed was Mach 2 - it flew from London to New York in just over three hours.

The WaveRider test flight is expected to last for about five minutes. At the end of it, the aircraft will break into pieces and fall into the Pacific. The test is essentially a repeat of last summer's attempt, when the hypersonic aircraft reached Mach 5, but the engine failed to attain full power.

Viral Video of A Ferrari Running Over A Cop

This is an absolutely insane viral video taken by a passer-by who happens to be a ferrari fanatic as well.
He was just admiring the ferrari taking a shot with His canon 7d only to get a little more than he expected.

This was what he had to say about his experience.
"I was walking around Soho, NYC today when I stumbled upon this Ferrari 458 Spider with a cop writing a ticket next to it. I started to record the situation because I thought it'd make a cool video, little did I know what I was in for. As soon as I started recording the owner of the car appeared and got in it. He slowly started moving since he refused to accept the ticket (the car was parked in a hotels valet zone and the hotel valet had the keys, I myself don't understand why the cop was giving him the ticket, it was approved by the hotel that the car was parked there.) The cop then told him to stop but he proceeded to move forward. Now at this point I believe the cops foot was under the front drivers side tire. Yet again the owner moved the car forward and apparently he somewhat ran over the cops foot (or at least that's what can be made out from everything in the video, others at the scene claimed otherwise.) This triggered the cop and he slammed his hand into the drivers window and proceed to open the door (notice how many times he bumped it into the taxi cab) and pull the driver out forcefully. The driver was then thrown on the ground and handcuffed and arrested. The owners girlfriend seen in the video is also Stephanie Pratt from the MTV hit show, The Hills. The car did suffer some damage, paint chips on the door from when the cop slammed it into the cab and some scuffs by the engine bay shown in the last scene of this video. Pretty crazy situation, I was definitely at the right place at the right time!"

Call Me Maybe's parody in the Tech world is "Fund Me Maybe"

Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook’s former marketing director and sister of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, recently channeled her inner Carly Rae Jepsen with a “Call Me Maybe” parody dubbed “Fund Me Maybe.”
She and her band Feedbomb performed the spin-off live at the ThriveGulu charity event in San Francisco, infusing Jepsen’s chart-topping song with references to the tech world and startup investors.
“Hey, I just launched this. My idea’s crazy, but here’s my startup, so fund me maybe,” belts Zuckerberg, who left Facebook in August 2011 to launch social media firm R to Z Studios (formerly named RtoZ Media).
Business Insider‘s West Coast editor Owen Thomas wrote the lyrics to “Fund Me Maybe” and made a brief appearance in the live performance.
Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” is still number 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, after first appearing on top in June.

Crazy man Blocking traffic with shopping cart video goes viral

Unsurprisingly, this ridiculous dash camera video originates from Mother Russia. There seemed to be traffic up ahead on this Russian freeway, but when the driver gets to the source, he discovers its a man on a grocery cart spinning around blocking traffic.

A picture that has touched the hearts of many Globally

A photo may be worth 1,000 words, but professional photographer Hannah Stonehouse Hudson has learned it can also be worth 2.2 million views, 191,162 likes, 108,766 shares and 21,936 comments (and counting) on Facebook.
"My specialty is documenting relationships, whether it's a wedding or a man and his dog," says the Bayfield, Wis., photographer. "I have known my friend John and his dog, Schoep, for six years. I have seen Schoep age -- he's 19 now. John lives his life in a kind way. He rescued this dog as a puppy, they have gone everywhere together ever since. Schoep has arthritis now, and John finds that the water is therapeutic. He is the kind of person who wants his animals to be comfortable. I wanted to capture their relationship. I told John, 'I really need to get photos of you and your dog.'
Last Tuesday, we met at the beach for the photo. While John swam with the dog, I got on the dock so I could be at eye level. It took five minutes.
"In the shot, the dog is completely relaxed, with his head on John's shoulder, eyes closed, out cold. John's eyes are closed, too. The water is calm. It's completely serene.
"That night, I wrote on Facebook about the amazing photo session I had just had with a dog that is 19 years old and his human. It was just a preview of the photo, but people freaked out about it. I had no idea they'd get so excited!
"The next night, Wednesday, I was exhausted fromshooting a wedding, but I knew I had to post that photo. I wrote: 'This (is) 19-year-old (Schoep) being cradled in his father's arms last night in Lake Superior. (Schoep) falls asleep every night when he is carried into the lake. The buoyancy of the water soothes his arthritic bones. Lake Superior is very warm right now, so the temp of the water is perfect. I was so happy I got to capture this moment for John. By the way, John rescued Shoep as an 8 month old puppy, and he's been by his side through many adventures :).'Within minutes, there were 100 likes. The next morning, Thursday, there were 600 shares. It was crazy."On Thursday, I was shooting a wedding on Madeline Island. My friends were emailing me, asking me if I'd seen what was happening with the photo on Facebook. I said, 'No, I'm working.'By then, there were 5,000 shares. I literally broke down in tears."I am not a posed photo person. My photos are always in the moment, translating what I see in my heart and mind and showing it to others. I never thought that this many people would see the same thing."In this photo, people have said they see everything from pure love to hope for the world. They see peace, kindness, the relationship between man and dog. Two women, both whose husbands died from cancer, said they never thought they'd see love again, but this photo showed them love. People are leaving me messages, crying and opening up about dogs they've lost, spouses they've lost. Women are also asking me if John is single!"I know this is not about me -- it's about a guy who loves his dog -- but I am in complete awe that my photo has had such an impact."Molly Guthrey can be reached at 651-2285505.Hannah Stonehouse Hudson/StonehousePhoto.com.After professional photographer Hannah Stonehouse Hudson took this photo of her friend John Unger and his 19-year-old rescue dog, Schoep, during one of their therapeutic evening swims in Lake Superior, she posted it on Facebook and it went viral.
