Six Decades Of Love: Viral Photo Shows Lasting Romance Between James And Lauretta Burke (PHOTO)

Two powerful images. One standout example of love.

Less than 24 hours after the photos -- a couple's tender moments at a hospital juxtaposed against their wedding day -- appeared on Reddit, more than one million people had viewed them.
Touching details tell a story that the original poster says is "almost like 'The Notebook'" -- a popular book-turned-film synonymous with love untarnished by age or disease.

Safeway Bakery Bans Photos to Keep Its Cakes From Being Mocked Online

Safeway Bakery Bans Photos to Keep Its Cakes From Being Mocked Online cakewrecks

The Internet often has a mind of its own when it comes to viral photos, the spread of which is virtually impossible to stop. Safeway, the second largest supermarket chain in North America, found this truth out recently after photos of badly designed cakes made their way online. The company is doing its best to quell the mockery, though: apparently at least one local Safeway bakery has gone so far as to ban photos entirely.

Cake Wrecks is a website dedicated to photos of professional cakes that have gone horribly wrong. It recently received an email from a reader named Dara, who writes,
"My local [name censored] bakery has this new policy – not strictly enforced, but kinda enforced — NO PHOTOS in the bakery department. None, nada. Per an ex-employee there, upper management is afraid that one of that store’s specific cakes will be posted on ‘that bad cake site.’ Per what they tell you in the store, their cakes are ‘all copyright protected.’ [...] Apparently this new ‘no photos’ thing came about after y’all had posted their ‘Popcorn’ cakes on the site."
Dara is referring to a series of photos showing “Popcorn” cakes that look more like they’re filled with gobs of goo. If Dara’s account is accurate, it’s interesting that a store is citing copyright law to prevent its baked goods from being photographed (and subsequently ridiculed).

Viral Photo Of bodybuilder Who forgot to Tan his Face too.

Hey buddy, it looks like you missed a spot during your fake tan — as in, your entire head
A competitor in the Arnold Classic Europe bodybuilding competition did a great job when he applied his fake tan – from the neck down.
His head literally paled in comparison to his super-bronzed body as he flexed his muscles for the judges. The funny error has been pointed out by news media (and, of course, merciless tweeters) today as this photo of a bodybuilder's bronzing oversight went viral. The guy was reportedly competing at the three-day Arnold Classic Europe bodybuilding event .The three-day fitness festival is named after bodybuilding legend and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who also hosted the event.

Well,as far as we can tell, he was too focused on his performance to think about his tan. Or maybe he was too caught up in gazing at his enormous pecs. In any case, we feel a little for the guy.
Here are some more photos from the event. Enjoy!

"Charlie bit me!" in the news again!

Remember the ‘Charlie bit my finger – Again‘ viral video? The one where a kid (Harry) sits with a baby on his knee who proceeds to bite Harry’s finger and giggle at the resulting wails? Yep, that’s set to become a series.
Viral Spiral, the management company for viral content and Rightster, the video monetisation and distribution specialist have teamed up to produce an original series based on the antics of the two boys.
‘Rightster has made a strategic investment in Viral Spiral to create Viral Studios. The new arm of the company will co-produce and finance new digital content based on one of YouTube’s most viewed viral videos. Rightster will also offer sponsorship avenues around orignal content and drive YouTube syndication for additional marketing.

Family video to global syndication

‘Charlie bit my finger – Again’ was posted in 2007  and has been seen almost half a billion times. Quite how this one scene will translate into a series is unknown, but if the kids are as amusing enough to drive similar viewing figures in the rest of their activities, it’s possible that the definition of ‘child star’ might have to be rewritten.

Last year it was estimated that the family made more than £100,000 via the 57 second video. As memes tend to, the video also sparked its own blog where people can keep up with the boys adventures and even T-shirts and apps for Android and iOS. Not bad work for a video uploaded to YouTube because email would not cope with the file size.
Damian Collier, Founder and CEO of Viral Spiral commented: “We’re delighted to announce this strategic partnership with Rightster which will allow Viral Spiral to build on its expertise in developing value around hit viral properties. Today we’re at an inflection point where online content truly is king and has the ability to shape the future of the entertainment industry.”

Indeed from original viral content to the professionally created programming made by big players, finding traction online is becoming more and more important as viewers choose on-demand options and assorted content providers over traditional television scheduling.
Just this morning, BBC Worldwide announced an expansion of its partnership with YouTube to provide content for viewers in the United States and Canada. It seems that the money is clearly going to be found via advertising, marketing and presentation on the Internet.
“We’re excited to be playing such a key role in the development of original content and programming at this pivotal time in the digital entertainment industry”, added Charlie Muirhead, Founder and CEO of Rightster. “Rightster Studios enables producers of all sizes to create the next generation of engaging online video programming, and we look forward to working with Viral Spiral to successfully distribute and monetise new, original content based on the existing strength of the ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ brand.”
If for some reason, this corner of the Internet has escaped your attention, this is the original. Who knows that Charlie might get up to next and if it will cause Harry quite as much pain.

Picture Of Rat In Supermarket Deli Counter Goes Viral

The first thing everyone will hate to see is A large rat eyeing up the cheese in the deli counter!

ratsupermarket

However, as you can see, that's what happened in one Paraguay store a few weeks ago. And a horrified shopper did exactly what any of us would do in the same situation: he took a photograph then posted it on Twitter. Oh, and presumably he went elsewhere to buy his cheese.

Unsurprisingly, the snap went viral - and the shop was swiftly closed down, pending an investigation by health officials.

"What would you have done?"

Mitt Romney photo goes viral, and it's more about wide-eyed Chipotle manager with him

DENVER  — The manager of a Denver Chipotle restaurant has become an Internet celebrity thanks to his wide-eyed pose alongside Mitt Romney when the Republican presidential candidate stopped by for lunch.

Twenty-year-old Marty Arps struck the pose for a group photo with Romney and Chipotle employees Tuesday afternoon. Arps is seen making a wide-eyed expression while pointing at Romney.

The Associated Press photo is being shared extensively Twitter and is making the rounds on websites.

Arps told The Daily he makes the expression when he's excited.
Arps said he doesn't know yet who he'll vote for, telling The Daily that he's "not too hip to elections and stuff."

Romney ordered a pork burrito bowl with guacamole during the brief stop while he prepared for Wednesday's presidential debate in Denver.

Artist goes viral with New York skyline sketch (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

A British artist becomes an online hit after he created a remarkable drawing of the Lower Manhattan skyline as seen from the top of the Empire State building. Video of the drawing process posted on YouTube and Vimeo has gone viral across the world.

Patrick Vale, created the time-lapse video in a bid to prove that he draws freehand. Thus he placed his smart phone on a tripod over his hands and filmed the drawing being created.
It took Vale four days to finish his ink-made sketch, as he returned to the observation deck on the 102nd floor of the Empire State, The Huffington Post reports.
The artist, drawing to Moanin by Charles Mingus, appears to have made very few errors whilst sketching the skyline.

“I'm not that precious about drawing a true representation,” the Huffington Post quotes the artist. “I just try to let the pen decide what needs to be shown. You kind of have to just go for it and stop before its overworked.”
Dozens of comments to the video with praise of Vale’s work appeared on YouTube and Vimeo as thousands of people have viewed the short film online.

“Morning everyone! If I haven't already thanked you personally for sharing the Empire State of Pen video and for liking the page – thank you! I really do appreciate all your support,”
the artist wrote on his Facebook page.

Internet Skepticism Toward Unaltered Photo Lands Unique Cat an Appearance on The Today Show

Venus the cat has a face that appears to have two completely separate halves. The left side of her face is black with a green eye. The right side of her face is orange tabby with a blue eye. The line dividing the two halves is straight and right down the center of her face such that a profile shot of one side would look like a completely separate cat when compared to a profile shot of the other side!

Venus began life on a farm in North Carolina. After seeing a snapshot that included the farm cat and being struck by her odd features, Veuns's current owners Chris and Christina decided they had to open their Florida home to one more cat. She lived quietly as a loving and beloved pet until Christina posted a page for her on Facebook and a friend posted her picture on Reddit. Her photos quickly went viral, being shared by hundreds of thousands of social media users within a week. Once the photos became famous, people began to suspect that the perfect line dividing two faces on the same cat could not be real and must have been fabricated or enhanced on Photoshop or her fur dyed.

However, video and older photos of the calico-tortoise shell mix shown on the Today show proves her unusual coloring to be natural. It is suspected that the odd physical feature may be the genetic result of two separately fertilized eggs that merged during very early development to form a single organism from two zygotes, or very young embryos. However, DNA testing has not been performed to confirm this suspicion. After her fifteen minutes of fame, Venus hopes to return home to Florida. However, it is also rumored that the suddenly-famous kitty now has an agent who will help connect Venus with animal rights non-profits who can use her fame and cuteness to further the cause of animal rights.

'Hunger Games' Parody Trailer Goes Viral (Video)

The Hunger Games has sold nearly 4 million DVDs and Blu-ray discs since hitting stories last week, but not everyone thinks the film lives up to the hype.
A video from Honest Trailers, which purports to advertise films as they really are, takes issue with Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) ability to outwit other tributes by hanging out in trees and Peeta’s (Josh Hutcherson) ridiculously detailed cake decorating skills, and asks why the "much hotter" Gale (Liam Hemsworth) is not Katniss’ first choice.
Amassing more than a quarter of a million plays, the parody trailer mercilessly raises a slew of additional questions moviegoers may have been asking themselves, including plot points from Suzanne Collins' novel that didn't make it to the big screen. (Where's the avox?)

When CSU Senior Lexi DeForest fell down a trench while hiking at Vedauwoo Recreation Area near Laramie, her ankle snapped, and her foot was nearly detached from her leg. While her hiking companion ran for help, Lexi waited patiently for help to arrive.
